Join Rachel for an oil painting still life workshop! Rachel has a lot of experience with oil paints (she received her BFA in Painting) and wants to share her skills with you in this intro to oils class.

You will using a brush and palette knife to explore your oil skills with color layering and learn all the basic tips and tricks of creating layers from dark to light. After practicing, you will move onto your 6”x9” canvas with a light pre-sketched desert landscape image. Everyone will paint through it together and the pre-sketched image will help you focus on your painting technique and less on drawing and composition work. You will leave with a beautiful mini desert image!

The class will start out by going over materials and then lead into the actual practice. The purpose of this workshop is to spread the love for creativity and encourage you to experience something new.

Rachel Eskandari is the artist behind Pink Puddle Studio. Her paintings are whimsical with many botanical elements. You can find her teaching workshops throughout Arizona and even Texas!
